Can I refrigerate unfinished breast milk for next feeding?
also, can I combine newly pumped milk with the unfinished batch? Or feed using separate bottles?
TIA!

Right or wrong...I did. I refrigerated unfinished and combined it to make complete bottles for the next feeding.

This is what I do. I don't have a big supply, so every drop is liquid gold

yup
I have a fact sheet from my lactation consultant and you can mix milks as long as you mix them when they are the same temp and you can refridgerate milk you didn't use at one feeding for the next.
Also, BM is good unrefridgerated for 6-8 hours.

I wouldn't worry about it.

ehhh...I wouldn't... I would just try and combine same temp milks in the future.

Re: Can I refrigerate unfinished breast milk for next feeding?
The lactation consultant at my pediatrician's office told me that you could mix breastmilk pumped within 24 hours (cold or room temp).
Once the baby has put their mouth on the bottle, you can only use that milk for 1 hour. So if they don't finish it you cannot save it beyond an hour. I was told this by my lactation consultant, the b/f class at my hospital and online.
I also really like the KellyMom site - it has lots of great info.

i combine bottles, leave them out for a few hours , you name it... and ds has no problems.... once he started eating cereal though i would just use the last 2 ounces to make his cereal up...
