This may be tmi but I really need to know. I do not plan on breast feeding or pumping when ds comes. He will be formula fed. Will my milk continue to flow? Will it leak? How do you manage that? When does it naturally stop on its own if not being used?

Most people I know who didn't BF said they were uncomfortable for a short time in the beginning then their milk dried up and they stopped leaking. I think it varies person by person as to how long you are engorged or leaking.

I wore ice packs for a few days to help it go down.

I wore a tight bra even to bed for a couple of weeks and that helped.
The old wives tale is to put cabbage leaves on your boobs, don't know if that does anything, but when they were engorged and painful I put bags of frozen peas on them It helped.
It hurts for a few days then they will go down. Good luck

yup me too and a tight sports bra.....it took a while for me actually longer than what the nurses said at the hospital....they said abotu a wk it was definitely longer than a wk i wanna say it was maybe 3/4wks.....i got a fever and felt just yucky when i finally got engorged which was the day i left the hospital....i had a emerg c though so i was in the hospital for 4 days....and when i got home from the hospital....i was feverish and in pain bc they were just soooooooooo engorged.....make sure when u take a shower dont face the water face away so they dont start leaking when the water hits them
