Can I toot my horn for a second?
This is something I'd usually go running to tell my Dad, and he'd gush and gush... but, unfortunately he's not here anymore, and the rest of my family could care less 
Anyway, I just got my performance review for the 6 months that I worked this year  And I got the highest rating for each element I'm rated on - which, apparently, has never, ever happened in the history of this office! And to boot, I've been at this job for less than 3 years!
Now, of course, it's a federal government job, so it means I still get a pretty laughable raise, and an even more laughable bonus in recognition of my performance... but, hey, I'll take it!
