Can I wear this dress to a wedding?

I bought a dress that I was originally thinking of for work, but I realized it's too dressy for work and I'm wondering if I can wear it to a wedding.

I can't find a pic online so I took some pics with my cellphone. The pic crappy but the dress is really nice quality. The embroidery is very shiny.

The dress is a stretchy black lace/mesh over a lining, and the outer layer has an embroidered design throughout. The top part is a v-neck with embroidery at the neckline and at the empire waist. It is about ankle length on me (I think it's supposed to be midcalf, but I am short) and it has very short sleeves.it's by Alfani.

The wedding is a Sunday day wedding at Crest Hollow in August.

Do you think I can wear it? How can I dress it up?

Thanks!

It traces curves. It's not tight or baggy, but it is a stretchy material. it shows a nice shape, it's not boxy likea t-shirt dress, if that helps!

I have the same dress, yes you can wear it to a wedding. I've worn it a couple of times to the Opera. Just be careful of the embriodry part, it catches very easily and pulls

Yes, it does! Every time I touch it it gets stuck on my nails!
