Braxton Hicks feels like you swallowed a basketball... Your belly gets really hard, but when you change positions it should go away..
If it's the baby moving, you'll still feel him moving after you change positions....
I hope this helps...

Feel right above your pelvic bone. It will tighten and get really hard. It may also feel crampy, but if there is no tightening, it is just a cramp.

Besides the tight feeling, I also feel out of breath during braxton hicks.

This happens to me, is like the tightening is also squeezing my lungs - but Ive been having Braxton Hicks since second trimester, and only felt that as they got stronger in the third trimester.

I think if you're having them earlier in your pregnancy you need to drink more fluids, but check with your Doctor!!

Its definately possible to feel them at 20 weeks. I started getting them at 14weeks and they've gotten stronger throughout the pregnancy. Definately increase your water intake - that should help. But some women will just experience them no matter what.
They feel like a tightening in your uterus (right above your pelvic bone) and your tummy will get very hard. You may feel out of breath too. If its the baby moving, you'll only get hard in the one spot that he/she moved. BH will last anywhere from 30 seconds to a minute in length and will stop when you change positions (so if your sitting, if you stand up the contraction will release, or vice versa).
As your pregnancy progresses, BH can often become painful and are sometimes hard to distinguish from actual labor contractions.
If you're getting more than 8 in an hour, call your OB.

Re: can someone describe the difference between braxton hicks and the baby moving
Baby moving feels like an internal something in your body body moving - where BH is more like cramping - and as a poster said a tightening of the belly that will make your belly as hard as a basketball.
The biggest difference is that with labor the pain radiates from back to front (along the sides). Also Braxton Hicks will stop if you rest, change position, drink water (and you should stay hydrated if you are getting BH).
You can sleep through BH. It may wake you up but you can go back to sleep. Labor you will not be able to sleep through.
