Can someone explain Disney ADR's to me?
So our 180 day mark for the day we arrive is on Monday. I'm not so concerned about getting reservations for that particular day as we will probably not go to any of the parks and just hang out at our condo.
So for the rest of the week, does this mean I have to get up every day at 6am to get online and make these reservations? Do I need to have already purchased my park hopper tickets? Do I need to be staying at a Disney resort? (We're staying off site).
These ADR's seem so stressful, so I'm hoping someone can explain it to me in baby talk LOL!

No, you can make all your Adr's now.
We don't make a lot. Just certain places that we like. Chef mickeys for breakfast. A few dinner places. We try not to schedule our day down to the minute, Kwim?
You can upgrade to park hopper when you get to the parks. Not sure if it's more money though. You certainly don't need to stay on site. We do because it works for us and we recently vpbecame dvc members so there is no point staying off site.

Actually i think you can only qualify for 180+10 if youre staying on property.

You can book all your restaurants of your stay at the 180 day of your check in day! That is how you will see some time slots will be already taken at the popular restaurants !

The 180+10 days rule only applies to guests staying on Disney property. Other guests are welcome to make their ADR 180 days in advance. So, yes, you'd have to make the new reservations everyday.
Some of my clients prefer to wait to the 170 day mark so they can make all of their reservations at once.
Honestly, don't stress it too bad. If you're even a little bit flexible you'll likely get every location you're looking for other than maybe Be Our Guest.
