Can someone explain to me what determines whether an FET is medicated or not ?
Sorry if this is a dumb question
I have read on here that some people have medicated or "unmedicated" FET's and was just wondering what that means exactly ?
Thank you !!

In a medicated cycle they want to control when you ovulate with birthcontrol, lupron etc...
In a natural cycle you just get monitored very closely and they go by your own cycle - this is good if you have regular periods, some dr. don't like doing it this way because the have no control as when you will ovulate and it has to be precise timing. HTH

Yeah you need to ovulate regularly to do an unmedicated cycle. You just use OPK's and call when you get a surge.

Same here. My protocol for FET is:
BCP Lupron Off BCP Continued Lupron and added Estrace until transfer.

So if you do unmedicated, do you really take no medications? That sounds wonderful!

For my cycle I took estrace and went in like 3 times for monitoring. When my lining was good...they transfered. It was awesome and so easy.
I dont think PCOS ers are good unmedicated cyclers.
