Non-medicated FET?

Has anyone ever done a non-medicated FET? I haven't got for the consult yet, but when I spoke to my RE today he said the FET is much easier and he didn't mention anything about meds. He said it would be a day 3 start but with my fresh cycle they didn't control it with meds, everything was based on what my body was doing (except Ganirelix to let little follies catch up & HCG). Just curious about the protocol for non-medicated FET, if there is such a thing.

I had 2 BFNs with IVF and I spoke to my doctor today. I will be undergoing what he called a natural FET. The only medications I will be going on will be after the transfer of the frozen embies. I was curious about it too. I'm glad you posted.

They usually just give you estrace to thicken your lining before the transfer and start the progesterone after the transfer. Thats what my RE said for non-med FET. Good luck!

Thanks for the posts! My lining is super-thick so I probably won't need the estrace (it was 13mm about 9 or 10 days before the transfer for my first IVF cycle). Perfect - just what I was looking for. And since my insurance only covers 3 lifetime IVF treatments, we're saving the coverage for our fresh cycles so it shouldn't be too expensive to do the FET.

If you have normal cycles (as in your issues aren't PCOS or estrogen based), you can very easily do a non-medicated FET.
They will just monitor you and do the transfer a few days after you ovulate. They may put you on progesterone supplements to help the embies stick, but that's about it.
