Did you zoom in? I make the thing huge and that helps.

I had a hard time with the Tonka trucks I used for DS's invitation. I wound up filling the background with the same color of the background I was putting it on so only the truck stood out.

Does that make sense?

Eventually I was able to go back and cut it out.

because I have such a hard time getting it exact and always seem to get a little bit of the background around the edges.

I did a tutorial that uses, extraction tool. it was a video and it seems to do the same thing but I still found it wasnt
perfect!

If you want to email it to me, I can try it. PSC3 (which I just installed) has a very cool selection tool you can use.

Also with the magnetic tool, you may have to adjust the feathering.

I saw that how should I adjust it and what does it actually mean?

I also think I am going to make the background black because it seems the tires are going to be the biggest headache.

DH thinks I am nuts because I found some really cute invitations on ebay but I get deterimined especailly since I have the program.

I figured it out when I did Maddie's Surf's Up invite with all of the characters. I needed to cut them out for her movie party.

I do like the new CS3 version. The selection tool is very easy to use. Also with Magnetic select, another option is to select the part you don't want & delete that (instead of selecting the object you want to keep).

I forgot about the magic extraction tool.
I feel like I spend so much time figuring out all the tools for one invite and then once I am done I foget it and then have to relearn everything.
