Can someone help me figure out a couple of things about this crib??
Pottery Barn Crib
Does it have a dropside? (I don't think so, but I also have preggo brain, so maybe I am missing something??)
Does it have adjustable height for the mattress??
If the answers to these questions are no, then why is it 600 bucks? I really like it, but for 600 bucks, I want all of the amenities!!

I love that crib...I can't justify it as a new crib for my 16 month old's new room at that price though...
From what I am reading in the product info, it looks like the mattress adjusts to 3 heights, but it is not a drop-side...hth!

i agree with the PPs... it doesn't have a drop side, but the mattress is adjustable.
for $700 i think you can totally find something that has a drop side

What does dropside mean? The side comes down?
Can anyone tell me how a dropside crib is helpful? I don't know anything about cribs!

Just an FYI...it seems like most of the cribs with more contemporary styling like this one do not have a drop-side (even the oeuf crib that is similar) and some do not even have an adjustable mattress...

it's jsut the style - if the sides of the crib are all the same height typically one side will drop down to allow for easier access to the baby. but if the mattress is high enough, it's not really necessary.

I FMed you but for anyone else interested, I called PB to ask a few questions.
This particular crib is considered a low profile crib, for smaller spaces. It doesn't have a drop side b/c it is lower, and it can't have an adjustible mattress b/c it has the drawers underneath. So I guess what you are paying $600 for is a stylish low profile crib for smaller spaces, with drawers underneath. I think it makes sense after talking to the rep, hearing the details. It does convert into a toddler bed in addition. HTH

Glad I could help. You helped me in addition b/c I never even thought of drop sides or adjustible mattresses. I found out the PB crib I like has both, and most of their cribs do have both. This crib you like is different based on the low profile and that's why.
