Can someone help me with finding a Personal Trainer?

I'm really not sure what my options are.

But I am looking for a personal trainer (not one that comes to my house). Do I have to join a gym? Is it cheaper to find a personal trainer with "rights" to a gym? And if the trainer has "rights" to a gym is there a possibility I can use their "daycare" services?

I want to do a 1 month trial before I sign onto any contracts. Is that even an option?

The only way I have heard of it being done is to join the gym and then use the trainer. Maybe call a local gym and ask them? They may let you do a trial period or give you the contact info of a personal trainer. Good luck!

Every time I have had a personal trainer it was through the gym I belonged to. The only others I know of come to your house.

most gyms have their own personal trainers and you have to be a member of the gym.

there are some personal trainer studios, but they don't usually have childcare.

I haven't heard of month trials, but they will often give you 1 free session to get an idea of what it's like.

Join Fitness Incentive, they have a ton of trianers. You can also join the YMCA in Bayshore. It has a full Gym, pool, track, child care, a ton of classes and even classes for the kids. We signed up for a family plan, month to month, cancel at anytime for only $67 a month. We live in West Islip.

I used to go to fitness incentive & monica jones was my trainer- she was the best. my friend TJ & his wife Aimee are also trainers there.
its a little pricey, but they are worth every penny. i had great strength when i trained with her.

What about doing CrossFit? It's strength training in a small group environment. They have affiliates all over long island. Most give a free trial, 3 for free, etc.

I agree! DH and I are members at the Y and we love it. They have personal trainers there and I absolutely love the classes. We've been members for years.
