Can someone please tell me about Lake Ronkonkoma
We put in an offer on a house in lake Ronkonkoma. The neighborhood is very nice but we do not know anything about the area. Can someone please tell me the good, The bad and the Ugly.

We bought our 1st house there. Just north of the lake. Really liked the area. Close to the LIE , train station and the mall.
It's Sachem school district which a lot of people like.
I never saw anything terribly bad or ugly.
The Bavarian Inn was always an eye sore but they've since torn it down and will be putting a park there I think.
The apartments next to that are also considered an eyesore. But I never really thought so. And I never heard of any issues there. Personally I was a little jealous they were right on the lake 
Where is the house located?

Where is the house located?
I've lived exactly in this area for just over 2 years. No complaints whatsoever except for the few crazy drivers that speed up and down my block. I've always wondered if the apartments were occupied bc I never see anyone outside. Doesn't bother me one bit. Love the proximity to the lake. If you have any questions, feel free to FM!

Can someone please tell me about Lake Ronkonkoma
I live in Ronkonkoma, close to the lake Ronkonkoma area. I think it's a great area because it's right in the middle of the island. Lots of nice parks, good school district, and easy access to the LIRR and LIE. There are a couple of areas that are a little more sketchy than others but overall it's a nice place to live.
