can someone please tell me i'm not the only one who has an almost 4 month old that doesn't sttn
I know, I know. As a btdt I know that not all babies are but she is still getting up every 2-3 hours and i am utterly exhausted. I need someone to commiserate with.

but Lauren, really, it's very very early.  I don't think she knows that you have twins to look after too!!!!

12 months on Saturday, and we had a period where DD slept through the night from about 9 weeks until 6 months, and since then, we have at least one wake up and "demand" for BF a night.

My youngest didn't sttn until about 12 months. And my oldest had to be woken up every 4 hours until she was 4 months old.

I know you don't want to hear this, but this is super normal. DS slept throught the night at 13 months. It was a very tired year.

<----------------NONE of my children were sleeping through the night at 4 months old. ALL were waking up 2-3 times a night.
I BFed all three and just assumed I had "Chinese food" BM.

ME! ME!
Alex will be 7 months on the 10th, and only the last 2 nights has he slept more than 4 hours!
He still eats every 3 hours too.
He still thinks that he is a newborn.

Neither of my kids STTN at 4 months. And I consider my DD to have been a GREAT sleeper when she was a baby!
DS not so much, but he's cute so he's forgiven.

No worries. My DS didn't STTN until just days shy of 4 months. I was starting to think it wasn't going to happen. He slowly started increasing the time between feedings at night (i used to keep a log) and I think this is what really did it although I'm - one day he woke up around 4AM and was kind of whining (not hard crying though) and I was just soooo tired that I fell asleep without going to him (he was already in his own room at that point). I felt so incredibly guilty about that happening (i actually think it happened twice ) but I honestly believe that had a lot to do with him learning to STTN. Up until that point he had been only giving me a 6 hour stretch and after that, he started going way longer.

it took #1 until 6 months old to STTN, but #2 almost 10 months. hope it gets better for you soon!

Thanks everyone!! My DS didn't consistently sleep through the night until like 2 months ago, and he's 2.5 so who knows why I'm even asking this, LOL.
Just would like some more sleep I guess!

what is her feeding/sleeping like during the day?
just make sure you are not letting her sleep too much during the day so she should be able to go the longer stretch at night. I have heard that once they double their birth weight is when they can STTN...not sure if that is an old wives tale or not. My DD doubled her birth weight in no time at all!
