can someone pls tell me if this was a BH contraction?
i was sitting down at the computer and had to get up to pee. When i got up i had the most intense sharp shooting pain which i felt from the inside and then also down under my belly.
Now i'm just feeling very crampy in my belly..
IS this BH???
If thats what a contraction feels like i am in trouble

Braxton Hicks contractions are not supposed to hurt, so I am not sure that was BH.
The BH contractions are when your whole tummy gets really tight, but with no pain.
How are you feeling now?

thank you for responding!! i feel better now..just a lot of tightening in my stomach, but that horrible pain i got went away.
I go to the dr. again on thursday so i will definitely ask what that was!

hey are you getting any more pains ?? sometimes at this point in your pregnancy you have to move / get up very slowly there is alot of weight being put on your lower muscles which will cause such pains . have you lost your mucus plug yet? or had any bloody show? if not you are probably safe for now! definatly let your doc know next time and PLEASE PLEASE move around slower from now on

If its just tightening in your stomach then its a BRaxton Hicks. Trust me, you'll know when its the real thing

i didn't think i got up fast...cuz i know that when i do i get a cramp...but this was much more then a cramp..
oh well...i'll see what the dr. has to say

I remember those pains. I got them when I switched positions, mainly standing up. I was told they were 'growing' pains. Remember that the baby is growing like a weed now.
