Re: can someone tell me about the Seaford school district and Melville schools district?
There is no "Melville" SD. If you live in Melville you can go to Half Hollow Hills SD or South Huntington SD. From what others on here have explained HHH is the more desirable SD however South Huntington is still good.
As far as Seaford, depending on where you live you can be either Seaford, Island Trees or Levittown I belive those are the 3.
I cannot speak to those districts specifically but I think they all are good.
Maybe other LIF girls can help you further with comparing the 2 areas.
HTHs a little

Re: can someone tell me about the Seaford school district and Melville schools district?
im a product of Seaford schools
great district on the smaller side. 2 elem schools, one middle, one high! great community! higher taxes but LITTLE commerical or industry so a very "suburban" feel!
my mom and brothers still live in seaford. we are currently in massapequa and we plan to one day move back to either seaford or wantagh (where DH grew up)

i grew up in seaford and i am purchasing my first home there. Its a great school district although my taxes will be high but to me its worth it being in the area.

I moved to Seaford 2 years ago and absolutely LOVE IT!! We researched sd and we wanted Wantagh Seaford or Massapequa.
We found the home of our dreams in Seaford!!

I've been in Seaford since 1982 and my DH and I bought our first home here. The schools are very good and we like the community here!
