Can Target store tell if you changed the qualtity on your baby registry?

SO many people bought from my registry but didn't use the list so it didn't 'come off', i had to go in and check that i received it, i need to return a big box of diapers, will they be able to tell i changed it to show 'purchased', will they give me a hard time?

i think they'll just give you store credit for the last (or lowest) selling price. you can't just mark it purchased on your registry because they will print out your registry that will show the items purchased from it.
