Can they see anything on an ultrasound at 5 weeks?
I'm going to my OB on Friday and I'll be just around 5 weeks then and I'm just soooo nervous that everything is ok, bc there are moments that I don't feel pregnant at all and this is just some strange dream! So I was hoping there is something they may see on an ultrasound when I go this Friday!!!!

Probably just the yolk sac, to see a heart beat this early, I would be surprised, that is usually around 6 weeks, but you never know!

I was 5.5 weeks and saw the sac.
At 7 I saw the heartbeat.

All I saw was the sac at 6 weeks. I don't think I saw the heartbeat until 8 weeks, so don't get nervous if all you see is the sac!

Did they tell you that you were getting an ultrasound? I know at the office I went to, it was just a basic office visit, then an ultrasound later on.
At 6 w 2 days, we saw the heartbeat, but the technician said it probably just started beating the day before...

I saw the sac at 5 weeks 1 day and the heartbeat at 7 weeks 1 day.

At the RE, I saw the sac at 4 weeks, 4 days and the heart beat at 5 weeks, 4 days.

No I'm pretty sure its just a blood test and to calm me down a little....but I just wish we are able to see something to just make this all the more real!!!!

At 4w5d I saw nothing and was devestated. I went back a few days later at 5w3d and saw only the sac and at 7 weeks saw the baby and HB. You may want to wait until 6 weeks to not freak out unecessarily.

They'll probably make you POAS, then send you for blood tests. Then you'll make an appointment for your first sono.

Thanks!!! they already scheduled me for my first sono but it's a month away, I swear I'm going to bribe a sono tech somewhere in a few weeks to give me a sono before my appt

I know, I remember what you went through, and believe me, I think I would go crazy as well...so maybe its just better off I have a blood test

I had my first apt @ 4w5d and all they did was a pelvic exam and took blood for my Beta #s. Then I went back 2 days later for more blood to check the progress of the beta levels. Since my Doc will be on vacation for the next 2 weeks, I won't have my first Sono until May 2nd & I will be 8w4d by then. The wait is killing me....I can't wait for the end of the month to get here.....
ETA: I am 6w1d today
