Can they tell the sex at 15 weeks and 2 days?

I have a sono and check up next week and that's how far along I'll be... just wondering if we would be able to know?

Usually not for sure. The only way to know this early is by CVS.

In my 1st pg I found out at 12 weeks it was a girl. Well they were 90% sure.
At 15 weeks they were 100% sure.

I guess they can from the previous posters - but my doctor said it may not be all the reliable that early. Boys don't always "drop" early - so he could look like a she.

My doctor wouldn't say that early because it's too easy to make a mistake, but I do know some people who have been told the sex that early.

absolutely they can....we found out at 15 weeks (early because my sis was in town visiting for her b-day and we asked to schedule the sono for then and hoped they would be able to tell).

Actually gender can be visible at 12 weeks (or was it 14....) but they wait till 20 to do it officially because it is more developed.

I had asked our sono tech how early can they REALLY tell gender (because I'm sure they can see lots but don't say anything). She told me the above statement about waiting till week 20.

My doctor said that you can tell as early as 12 weeks, but they usually can't see with a clear shot til 16 weeks. I was hoping to find out at my ultrascreen which was at 12 weeks, 6 days, but they didn't seem to friendly, so I didn't ask.

I have 4 more weeks. It's killing me.

We found out early but the lab tech said not to go buying/painting anything until se confirmed it at 20 weeks.

I found out at 12 weeks that it was a boy but I didn't officially thinkit was until my 20th week sonogram where it was confirmed.

Well, they told me boy yesterday at 12w6d.

The tech said she was positive, but "just to be safe" they would wait to say 100% for sure until the 20 week.

But she also said it's a lot easier to tell if it's a boy than if it's a girl at this stage.
