Can we catch a break soon? I am tired of cleaning up vomit...

So I was finally thinking Sabrina was better. She had eaten and everything stayed down yesterday. She didn't eat much at Thanksgiving because she really eats on a schedule, but when it was time to eat, she ate a bowl of Cheerios (she just wasn't diggin the turkey).

All was well. We were ready for bed and I nursed her and then she asked for milk from a cup (I guess she needed more). She finished the whole cup, and fell asleep.

Not that long after we heard crying and vomiting noises and we ran to get her. She and her crib were covered in vomit. The worst it has been all week. She kept crying too. It was so sad.

I stripped the sheets and DH cleaned her up but I didn't have an extra mattress pad so she just stayed in our bed. Now we are grumpy and sore from getting kicked and kneed.

I have to go to work this afternoon and I just need a break so I can feel better.

Sorry I am just spent. This week has been horrible. I hate the smell of vomit and it feel like no matter how much I clean, it is still there. Windows open and everything Chat Icon

Ugh.

I learned this the hard way too...no dairy products while their stomach's are upset.

I hope she feels better soon. Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

I thought it had passed. And she kept crying for the milk. I think I gave in because I was tired.Chat Icon

I skipped milk after my dd vomited it up for at least 5 vomit free days.

I think they sometimes mistakes tummy pains for hunger pains and that is why they want more.

ETA: I sprayed Nature's Miracle for weeks to get rid of the smell. It did eventually work.

I'm so sorry...it does sound very exhausting!

Try giving her lactaid for a week or so until her stomach settles. She will probably be lactose intolerant for a few days until she fully recovers.

Hope it gets better soon!!!

Thanks for the support! So far so good today. I will hold off on milk (except for BM) for a few days and see if it helps. The nursing doesn't bother her but maybe regular milk is too heavy right now.

Now if I can just get rid of my stiff neck, I will be in much better shapeChat Icon

We are all getting over this terrible bug and DS's doctor recommended watering down the bottles for a little while until his stomach is ready for a full bottle again.
