We cant catch a break...UPDATE
I left the gtg because Ryan was cranky, and felt warm to me... sure enough when we got home he took a 2hr nap and woke up with a fever of 101.8
It was too late to call the Dr so I just gave him some tylenol and a luke warm bath, and was praying it was teething related...
Well he ate dinner great, played, had his bottle, right before bed I took his temp again and it was 99.7- he went right to sleep no questions asked!
Well just now I went in their to check on him... felt him and he felt warm again-
I took his temp. and its back up to 102.4 
Should I wake him up and give him some more tylenol... of just let him sleep...
I just dont get it... we are on our 2nd antibiotic for an ear infection we've had for like a month..
He isnt around lots of kids and germs... so its not like something keeps getting passed to him...
Why wont whatever is going on with him- just go away...
He's never had a fever before (through the 2 ear infections and all) so Im totally freaking out....
The red in the poop- turned out to be nothing- thank God (the lab said all test were neg - so I guess Im just nerotic and should stop giving my son so many carrots)
Any adivce?
UPDATE-
Went to the Dr. he checked his ears.... and I guess this round of antibiotic worked... because they were clear!
Checked for coxsackie- and its not that
DId a rapid strp culture (and a lab one too) NEg!
So he said the high fever is either his body fighting off the remains of the ear infection... or its viral...
Ryan had partly a good day, and partly a cranky day... so we just stayed in and relaxed!!
The Dr. did explain to me- how a fever is actually a good thing... its his body fighting the "bad stuff" and he told me to not even give him tylenol... if the fever isnt bothering him....
I kinda knew this- since when I was a child I never got fevers and they always explained that it wasnt a good thing....
So here's hoping for better days tomorrow!

Hi, I hope Ryan is feeling better. I would let him sleep. If you wake him and he is not feeling well he may be up for a while. If he needs Tylenol he will let you know. I would bring him to the doc though in the morning. Feel better

with that high of a fever I would wake him and give him tylenol - I am a worry wart though ;)
I hope he feels better. definately get him back to the dr for a re check!

Is there a way you can squirt the tylenol in his mouth with out disturbing him? I know I can with Hayley.

I hope Ryan feels better in the morning and hopefully it is just his teeth. I can tell you with my daughter that if she runs a fever she runs high fevers, even with teething. I am the same way. I don't run fevers often but when I do they are always high.

Its funny you wrote this...
I NEVER get fevers- even as a child.... the 2 times I did get one- it was over 105- and I was brought into the hospital...
Since the 2 times Ryan has been sick he too- never had a fever- I was thinking he would be like me...
Maybe on the rare occasion he gets one.. it will be high.. IDK...
Anyways- he woke up just now (Yes- mainly because my mom called here @ 6:30 am )
He is fever free....He slept through the night fine... and never gave him the tylenol in his sleep (I was too scared he'd choke or something)
Me on the other hand- I feel like I got hit by a mack truck.... Im hoping its just from lack of sleep...
