Can we discuss SMASH? No spoilers...
I LOVE this show! I was NOT a fan of Katherine McPhee but man oh man...she has changed my mind. She is amazing! What a great role for her! She is incredibly talented!
From what I heard, the girl who plays Ivy is from Broadway. Anyone know what she's been in? She is so talented as well.

I really like it too, K McPhee is great in it!
The debra messing storyline is kinda boring, doesn't really tie in to any of it for me. And maybe I missed it but why has the husband been sitting home and not working? How old is that son supposed to be?
My dvr cut off, did they show clips of next week's episode??

yeah, I agree. It almost seems as if he stopped working when they decided to go through the adoption process. I was confused also. Hopefully that story will unfold soon. I'm guessing the son is supposed to be in his mid to late teens...but he looks at least 23. 
I didn't see any previews either.

I'm so glad I remembered it was on last night.
I really enjoy the show. I feel mesmerized when watching it and feel drawn into the story line.
Let's hope it sticks around!

Exactly how I feel. I only commit to one other non reality show and that's 90210.

And I agree, he looks early 20's but some of his lines made him seem like he was in middle school! Very strange... if he's supposed to be a teenager or in h.s., it doesn't make it very believable that he's still so hung up on having a baby sister.

It seemed to me that Deb's husband stopped working to be a stay at home day and raise their son (partially b/c she was so busy and was making a lot of $$), and then as he got older they started talking about adoption so he never went back to work....that's my guess.
Also agree about the son being bad for the role. He's the only part of the show I don't like so far!
