Re: Can we have mussels?
Hmmmmmmmmm,I'd probably stay away from them just b/c of the way they are/aren't cooked. Are they raw?? I'm not a fan of mussels so maybe I'm not the best person to answer this one.

Re: Can we have mussels?
We can have shellfish. I've eaten shrimp and crab legs, dr said it was fine in moderation as long as it's fully cooked. Mussels too. You'll know they're completely cooked if the shell is open. Don't pry open the closed ones, even if they're hot. Enjoy!

This is correct! Shellfish is very low in mercury and very good for you (omega fats-good for baby's brain)...you can have mussels, shrimp, calamari...as long as they are cooked, just no raw fish

Good to know b/c the other day I was tasting my husband's New England clam chowder... after I had some I realized... Woops, maybe I shouldn't be eating this. Yikes! I feel better, and of course only had a few bites... heck, we were in Boston. How do you turn down New England Clam Chowder there?! It's the best!
