Can we talk about ADHD?
DC had the psychological evaluation today and I was told that DC has a severe case of ADHD - not even that DC is at risk for it - the evaluator said that usually she would say at risk for at this age but that it was clear that DC definitely has ADHD.
Can anyone talk to me about dealing with ADHD? What can I do to help my DC? As my DC gets older - will medication be required or can some children function well without medications?
I'm kind of upset at this point because I feel that I might have given this to my DC. I'm someone who always did well in school and has an advanced degree but I always struggled with attention issues (although I was never diagnosed with ADD or ADHD). I just don't want to see my DC struggle through those same things.

How old is your child? What did they see? My DS has ADHD and every kid is different. My DS is 8 1/2 yrs. I will gladly speak more with you more to see if I can share my experience. If you want, send me an FM.
