Can we talk about gifts for extended family members?
DH has a cousin in Ohio who has 3 kids. We rarely see them. In the past we've purchased individual gifts for the 3 kids for the holidays. She just married someone she met earlier this year who has 2 teenagers, so now she has 5 kids ranging in age from 1.5 to 15.
Does it look tacky to buy them gc's to the movies and a chain restaurant like Chilis? I haven't met her new DH and his kids and have no idea what to get teens, but I imagine it will be a lot more money than the toys for the younger kids.

I am in similar situation...my BIL keeps getting married, I have step nieces and nephews all over that I have never met.
I just get them bonds, like I would his natural kids.
I think the GCs are a great idea

I think your idea is perfect. It would be nice for them to all get out and do something as a family. Maybe if there's a Dave & Busters near them you can get 1 GC there that would be good for a meal and games.
