Can you actually hear the baby moving around with the doppler?
When I went for my last OB vist (I was, I think 14-15weeks) The Dr. used the doppler and there was this loud noise coming from it. The Dr. pulled it away from his ear and said that was the baby moving. I was totally like . Ok, fast forward. Im now 17weeks and I have a doppler that I use pretty much every day Recently Ive been hearing a lot of that similar swooshing noise. If I hold the doppler very still on a spot on my stomach every so often I hear a loud swoosh, like the baby is moving. Is this the baby or my imagination?

Nope, it's the baby moving! My OB always has a hard time finding the heartbeat since my placenta is in front. Last time he was listening, I heard what sounded like the heartbeat and he told me, no, not yet, that's just movement! He found the heartbeat shortly after that!

Yes, that's the baby moving. Everytine the OB checks with the Doppler he comments on how much the baby is flipping around and kicking in there. I can't really tell as well as they can. Their dopplers definitely pick up the sound a lot better.
