Can you check out my list? Another are these enough/too many clothes for fall/winter question
DC will be 2 on Thanksgiving. Everything I bought is 24 month or 2T and I'm expecting it to last through the spring hopefully, probably at least 6 months before I need to get summer stuff. They are in daycare 2 days a week and with me the rest of the time. I'm just listing what each kid has, of course I have double of this list :
2 pairs of jeans (one will be too small by winter I think) 3 cargo pants (tan/gray/camo) 1 "athletic" pant 5 pairs of sweatpants (4 regular, 1 thick heavy-duty) 1 pair of fleece pants 1 pair of cords
2 sweaters 1 fleece 1 thick cotton jacket for fall/spring 1 North Face-type jacket 3 sweatshirts/hoodies
3 thermal L/S tees 5 regular L/S tees 2 L/S white onesies for layering 2 long sleeve button down dress shirts 2 turtlenecks
1 pair of sneakers 1 pair of hiking-type shoes
I will need to get an outfit for Christmas and probably a pair of dress shoes but I'm going to wait on that. They have plenty of PJs also.
Thanks!

Re: Can you check out my list? Another are these enough/too many clothes for fall/winter question
This is helpful since I am trying to figure out what to buy for fall - lol!
I probably would buy a few more L/S shirts. I feel like I put DS in those more than sweatshirt or sweaters - especially when we don't have anything big planned.
I'm not sure if you need 5 pairs of sweats if you also have fleece pants and athletic pants. I would maybe only do 3 pairs of sweats.
Also, do they need khakis or are the cords in lieu of khakis?
I also like to have 2 pairs of sneakers - 1 to play outside and usually one "nicer" pair - in addition to a pair of nicer shoes

What sizes are your kids wearing now and how long have they been in those sizes?
Your list sounds a lot like my list for my kids. I don't think I saw hats, mittens, winter boots, and socks. Will you need a dress up outfit for any reason? Can one of the pants translate into a pair of dress pants?
I agree - I am not sure how often they will need hooded sweatshirts. I would get more shirts. At this age my kids really stained their shirts. Although I clean them - they look so worn.
DD will be 2 at the end of September. She has been in 18-24 month/2T clothing since last September (1 year). I have some clothing from last year, but I also got some 3T as well.

I would get a few more long sleeved onesies and I think you could just have 5 pairs of sweats IN TOTAL rather that 10 pairs for both boys.
they are roughly the same size still and even with 2.5 between them, you should be fine.
I'd also get one more pair of jeans, maybe fleece lined, especially if you think one of the pairs they do have won't fit much longer.

Thanks everyone - I think I am going to return two pairs of sweatpants and just leave it at 3 per DS (6 total). No odd numbers Ophelia!!! It would throw off my whole system!

They have only been in 18-24 month clothes this summer. Before that including through the spring they were in 12-18 month. They are small - probably around 26 lbs and 31 inches right now.
My mom gets them their snow outfits and boots every year. But I will need to get hats/mittens definitely, you're right. I can dress up the tan cargos and also the cords but will likely get dress pants/sweater/dress shoes for Christmas time, they won't need it before then. One of the sweatshirts was a gift and I really don't like it so I'm going to keep it for messy days. The other two are nicer - one is Gap zip up and the other is a thin pullover style which I think they can wear inside. I will also pick up a couple more long sleeve shirts, maybe one polo and one more regular since I was just thinking about it and one of the thermals and one of the L/S shirts that I already have are white which probably wasn't the smartest. LOL. Thanks everyone!
ETA For Christmas from family I can ask for another pair of jeans and some onesies to replace the ones that get yuck before then. Good ideas.

Re: Can you check out my list? Another are these enough/too many clothes for fall/winter question
Thanks for posting this! We are going shopping for the twins fall/winter wardrobes this weekend and i am stumped as to what to buy. I am printing this thread out! LOL. The twins are in 9 month now. Some things 6 months for DS. DD is all 9 month. I should probably go with 12 month, right?

I would get the majority of things in 12 and a few in 12-18 month sizes. The problem I experienced for DS was that he transitioned sizes half way through the winter and by then there was nothing left in the sizes he needed. DD was ok as she stayed the same size.
