Can you get carseat safety ratings anywhere?
Ive been scouring the internet for like an hour now looking for safety test performance ratings on Booster carseats since DS has outgrown his convertible and I CANNOT find them anywhere!
How can consumers have no access to carseat safety ratings?
I found a ton of consumer/website reviews but nothing on actual tests.
Does such a thing exist anywhere?

Did you try consumer reports? That's what we've always used.

They do and they don't. All seats on the market are required to pass the same federal safety tests, where they receive either a Pass or Fail grade. Fails don't ever make it to the shelves. So, the only reviews you're ever going to really see are in regards to ease of use/value. Even NHTSA has a spot on their site for ease of use ratings.
Consumer Reports is actually not a reliable source for car seat safety tests, they have a bad history with their testing and have had to recall their results in the past because they performed the tests improperly or in one case, blatantly ignored the manufacturer's instructions for install and use. I would consider the CR studies and reviews with the same weight you take any other CONSUMER written review, for ease of use and value for money, not safety.
One thing to remember is that a seat will absorb the forces of the crash, redirecting them away from the child. So, after an accident, you may see cracks or stress marks, stretched out harnesses etc, and this is normal performance for many seats. Seats are a one accident only item and the job is to lessen crash forces and restrain the child.
Because of this, I will not link, but if you google Transport Canada, they have done some tests with seats installed in actual vehicles and then crashed them with dummies and there are videos. Some you may find disturbing because you see the seat move or crack or see the webbing stretching on the harness etc.. all normal but sometimes hard to watch, KWIM?
The "safest" seat is the seat that properly fits your child and your vehicle, your budget and is used properly every time.
