can you polish your own nails?
I am painting my own toenails cause I am in a pinch and have new peep toe shoes for a thing tomorrow night,
1) thank god the excess will come off my cuticles and skin in the shower
2) looks like someone with really bad palsy did it
3) next time I'll plan ahead
4) I am gonna break my neck in the damn shoes anyway.
So the question was....do you do your own nails/toenails?

I do, but I prefer not too. Never comes out as nice. And half the time I usually go to bed too soon and I get sheet marks.

The toes I can do, but I can only do the fingernails on my left hand because I am right handed. My left hand is pretty useless. I have no dexterity in my left hand.

I can do my toes and my fingers really well. I just never have enough time to let them dry though, so I prefer to go to the salon.

I used to do a great job on my nails and a decent job on my toenails. It seems like I've lost that skill since going to salons more often. I was terrible when I recently tried again.
I'm starting to like the look of clean bare toes again anyway. I am sick of ALWAYS having some color on.

I am awesome at it. With that being said I still prefer to go get them done. It is just so much more relaxing and enjoyable having someone else do it.

I am PATHETIC when it comes to doing my own nails/toes.
When polishing my toes, I have a bad habit of resting my hand on my toes so I smudge them. And when I don't rest my hand I generally polish the whole toe.  
I'm only slightly better with my fingernails.

I do it all the time, and I do it pretty well. I go to the nail place in the summer mostly and keep it up myself in the winter.

I actually do my own nails now that I took my gels off. IMO, I do my nails better than the salon ladies do. No one ever files them the way I like.
As for my toes... I still induldge in a pedicure  There's nothing like a good foot rub.

I only do it when Im too lazy to go to the salon (or too cheap. lol) OR... when I have last minute plans. Ironically, when I polish my own nails, they dont chip as fast I think the trick is to NOT use the matted base coat they use in the salons.
