Can you recommend a cookbook for starters...

and I mean STARTERS...like boiling water etc...Chat Icon ok not that bad but starters.

My aunt once got my dad the either the Teenagers Guide to Cooking or College Kids' Guide, something like that, honestly its awesome. It has great, easy recipes!

How to Boil Water. It is from the show by the same name on the Food network. They really explain everything.

The Good Housekeeping Illustrated Cookbook....they have another one too, but I can't remember the name, also by GH. They break down step by step how to do everything!

I think any Rachel Ray cookbook would be good to start with, her recipes are pretty easy to follow.
