Can you recommend a sturdy train table where the tracks stay put?
We decided to get DS a train table over the play kitchen for Christmas. I'd like to get tracks that stay on the table vs removable ones. I really like the ones that they have at Toys R Us Times Square or Barnes and Nobles.
Can you recommend your sturdy train table?
Pictures would be appreciated. Thanks.

There is no such thing! They use glue to keep the tracks in place There are local places that will do this for you (I live in NJ so can't recommend anywhere near you!) for a fee

I was wondering why all the train tables i saw had removable tracks!
I guess I'll have DH use strong glue to initially glue the tracks on then. I just know DS will constantly take the tracks apart if we don't glue them on.

Part of the fun is taking the tracks apart. I totally understand that it will get annoying to constantly put the tracks together, but I think when DS gets older, he will really enjoy putting the tracks together himself.
There's an Imaginarium train table at TRU (currently on sale) that comes with tracks.

Re: Can you recommend a sturdy train table where the tracks stay put?
I got the imaginarium one because it was on sale and identical to the ones in barnes and noble.
I glued MOST of the pieces together. I left certain areas free but I'd say its about 75-80% glued together. Good thing about this is that AJ got her arm stuck in one of the tunnels (under the helicopter) up to her upper arm past her elbow and I could remove that section and take her arm out at a better angle instead of having it stationary to the table. NONE of my pieces are glued/screwed to the table itself. But they are in large enough sections that taking it apart or putting it back together is pretty simple.
I have seen her with smaller sets and she tore them apart. This one though, she doesnt. She plays with it as a toy not as a puzzle. Go figure.
Actually, its on sale again... Link to the site

We have the Take Along Thomas (the die cast ones).
Any train tables for use with that?
Because all the ones I see seem to come with wooden train sets. Don;t need those
DS already has like 100 trains & the Thomas sets to go with them....just need a table!

I got this table at TRU last week for my DD for Xmas. It looks awesome. It's $160 on sale for $130 and then they let you use the 20% off coupon from the Toy Book and I got it for about $100. It's the table, over 100 accessories, and 24 ft. of track. Great deal!!

We glued and nailed down the tracks. DS has plenty of extra tracks to use on the floor if he wants to build his own.
