Can you recommend toy cars that are safe for 15-18 month old to play with?
DD LOVES cars! We don't have that many at home, a few babyish ones that came in a set but she seems to always find them and play with them. And this weekend she was playing with her cousin's matchbox cars all day and some monster trucks that he had! Everything i'm seeing says 3+ and has choking hazards... can you recommend anything for her?

There are soft cars that I have bought-I think FP makes them.. This looks pretty cool too...
Also here's a search on Amazon under toys and games with an age range of birth to 24 mos..

My sons have these as well. He also has a few dozen matchbox cars. I know they say 3+ but he loves them and we have no issues. If you do do the matchbox cars I would just stay away from the ones where the car doors or hood opens up.
DS is 20 months but has been playing with matchbox cars since he was 15 months.

I actually found a few on amazon that were 12 or 18 months+... they are so much more babyish than the matchbox cars but they will just have to do for now.

I know she would love them, but i'm too nervous... she's pretty much over the everything-in-the-mouth-stage but I was watching her like a hawk on saturday when she was playing with them.

DS plays with the Chuck & Friends trucks made by Tonka. They are soft plastic. They have several different kinds. They say 2-5 years, but he's been playing with them since about 10-11 mos.
He also has some CAT construction trucks. These are 18 mos - 4 years.

These are the ones we have... you pull them backwards and then they propel forwards. They are really cute!

DS has this remote controlled car from B. toys at Target. It's been a hit since his first birthday.
Only one button to push - push it once and it spins in a circle. Push it again and it goes straight.

DS used these as well, they come in tons of varieties (trucks, trains, bugs) then around 20 months he found his brother's matchbox cars and he is now obsessed with them. I was very careful with him at first watching him every second. He doesn't put them in his mouth, he just drives them around and sends them down ramps. He is 22 months now and I feel comfortable enough that he actually sleeps with a car each night

WE got the Chuck and Friends ones. I just took DD to the store and showed her those versus the little people ones and she liked the chuck ones better since they had 4 working wheels and they roll pretty well on our carpet.
The fisher price ones roll by one ball in the middle.
