I am so sorry, my brother was also in the hospital for a month. The reason for this is that they need her to be on a strict neutropenic diet. Marcie this means she can only eat foods that are prepackaged nothing that has the potential to be contaminated or have germs. If you need some ideas of things you can bring to the hospital for her let me know. I know that my brother had many requests that made a big difference in his comfort.
