This is a work in progress, we still have to put up chair rail, etc. But its real oak wainscotting.

schnapy - did you do that yourselves? I am in between the wainscoting and tile in our bathroom, I feel like the tile will be easier to clean too. What do you think?

Everyone's WC is awesome!! Does anyone have the boxed kind..where you are just mounting molding to the wall?? What do you do first paint the wall or mount the molding? I hope this makes sense!

We did this in our bathroom. We measured where the wainscott would come up to...and only painted to where it would be behind the wainscott....so as not to have to tape off and make the edges to the floor.

This is exactly what we're doing in our new guest bathroom (white wainscotting with green walls). A couple more weeks until it's done!

Is this what you mean? We just started painting the bottom, the top will be a red. DH did the window trim and radiator covers too.
