Candy Thief! Would This Annoy You??
Yesterday we had a party in our office for Halloween. We operate in a small satellite office (only 22 people, 20 being women).
Anyway we had a TON of left over candy, about 5 or 6 lbs of Snickers, Twix, other good brands. We come in this morning and notice it's GONE. Someone says "what happened to the candy?" A woman says "oh I took it home to give to trick or treating kids bc I didn't buy any." WHAT?!?! Mind you, she didn't even contribute anything to the party. Who the heck is she to take home every piece of candy that she didn't even bring in!!?? Needless to say she doesn't have many fans at the moment?
Do you think that was bold or what??

That was totally uncalled for. She shouldn't have taken it upon herself to just take the candy. That was candy for the office. If she thought no one would eat it there, she should have asked someone to take it.

I love when people say things so matter-of-factly...as if it was perfectly acceptbale.
If I forgot to buy candy and wanted to mooch off my co-workers, I would simply take half, or some other un-noticeable amount, and bring it home. Not the whole pot of loot!

After she said she took it home the woman that originally asked what happened to the candy said "why did you do that, it's not like the candy had an expiration date?" She didn't answer. Apparently she said to her cublice mate "I think everyone is mad at me (in a snarky tone no less)." Her cubicle mate said well yea, you took home 6 lbs of candy that wasn't yours. She then said she would bring "something" for the office in next week. It's not the point though.
It's like she was raised by wolves!
