canon powershot HELP
I have a Mac Powerbook- when I hook my camera up to the computer, iPhoto comes up and automatically pulls in the photos.
It does NOT pull in the MPEG movies thought & I cannot figure out how to transfer them to my computer.... no camera icon shows up on my desktop for me to drag the MPEGs over. I tried opening iMovie and importing- but that didn't work.
any other ideas?

I dont have a mac, but is there any way you can search the memory card itself without going into any programs?

no, the memory card doesn't even "show up" on the computer desktop...

I'll ask my DH (we have a mac) b/c I can't remember fr the life of me what you have to do to bring the videos over.

I have a Powerhot but I have a reg pc and the movies just automatically go over with the pictures.
Weird that MAC is different, I thought it would be easier, if thats possible. sorry

OK. You need to take the compact flash card out of the camera and insert it into the media reader and connect that to the mac. Then put the movies into any folder - like "My Movies".
The only other thing would be to install the Canon software to the mac...
