Can't remember when to change nipples

Ok, forgive me, but it's been 5 years since I have had a newborn!! My son is now 3 months old - he was born 10 pounds 2 ounces (a week early!), and has always been a good eater. He is now doing 8 ounces regularly, and I was wondering, when do you change the nipple size? I am still using Dr. browns stage 1 (newborn/infant) nipples. I also started introducing rice cereal mixed with the formula on a spoon and he is a little confused about it - but I think he is starting to get the hang of it. The Pediatircian said I could do this at night, and hopefully he will sleep longer (no such luck of course), as my big boy is a 4 hour boy... he rarely goes longer than that without a meal!!

I would say to change the nipple when he seems to have trouble getting the formula, I changed to level 2 at 3 months

The package says 3-6 months for level 2 and 6+for level 3.

I'm just trying to figure out if it's really necessary to change them when Charlie turns 6 months.

I changed ours at 3 months to level 2 and at 6 months to level 3.

thanks ladies... I guess 3 months is a turning point for my boy....lots of things happen at 3 months!

I changed to Level 2 at 3 months.

I started the stage 2 nipples at 3 months. and the Y nipple for cereal in the bottles-except they were gulping too fast.
