can'tget rid of ants
For years we'd get ants, spray and they ll be gone, but this time they have stayed for two months!? We have sprayed more than once and have traps, everything its spotless. They are no where near the high chair, garbage or sink which is most dirty of anything.instead they crawl along my clean cabinets, haven't found any in side a food container yet but they are in the cabinet. I'm going nuts. Any advice? At this point my husband and in laws (I live with) have given up and figure winter will be here soon enough and they ll leave but I can't live like this. Plus I feel guilty everyday killing them. any advice?

Re: can'tget rid of aunts
I have a few aunts I'd like to spray
seriously though...try small mounds of cornmeal in corners where you see them most. They can't digest it and they die. Wipe down everything...they leave their scent for others to follow, so if you are religious about wiping things down you will clean up their trail.
forgot to mention, in order to get rid of the scent trail...use water mixed with vinegar...they hate vinegar and it gets rid of the scent trail. I would even use the vinegar to mop your floors.
To mop I use a mixture of vinegar, borax, baking soda and a dash of dish detergent.

OMG...this has me I know you mean ants and not aunts (as in a relative). But I can't help picturing your sweet aunts crawling around your cabinets looking for food.
As for the ants. Did of try the raid traps. They worked well when we had a problem.

Depends what kind of ants! Are they large black or small little ones? Different treatment for the two.

A mixture of water and vinegar. Also, you can soak a paper towel in vinegar and stick it where they are. We moved into our new house and one night I found my kitchen counter and stove covered in them. I wiped everything down with the water and vinegar mix and then left a vinegar soaked paper towel between the stove and counter. I continued using the vinegar mix for a week or so, but they were completely gone within 3 days. And there were a TON. Haven't seen any since then.

Go to Home Depot and buy "terro" ant bait traps. I tried everything. I used the raid baits, I sprayed with vinegar, nothing else worked. Place the bais where you see ants, and don't kill them when they come out. They take the bait to the hole and they all die...

Re: can'tget rid of ants
This is the best stuff EVER!!
Combat Ant Killing Gel.
I had an ant morgue in my kitchen within 2 days of putting a few drops by the window and around spots they were hiding.
I did nothing where the dogs could get it.
I had HUNDREDS of ants. They were going onto the ceiling. Making their way across the kitchen to the fridge. Dancing in the dog food. It was disgusting. DH found this stuff at Ace Hardware. It's like CRACK to them. At first there were MORE ants, but only where we put the globs of gel. Then like I said, within 2 days, they were just dying in their tracks.
It worked for half the summer and then the ants came back with a vengeance. So, we bought more and BAM - Ant Morgue. So far so good!

Re: can'tget rid of ants
I brought in an exterminator and they were ALL gone within 2 hours. Best thing EVER. They were everywhere this year, out of control. I'm sorry I waited so long to bring in an exterminator. All natural products, no smells. Highly recommend them.
