Car registration...how far in advance does sticker come when expiration is approaching?
Does anyone know when the sticker and renewal might come if your car reg is up?
Also..if your sticker says 8/10, does that mean the end of August? When do you think the sticker should come by?

Yes - it's the end of August. Mine took about 5 bus days. You can always renew in person, you'll then get the regi same day.

Renewal typically comes two months prior - if yours is up at the end of August, you should be receiving it in the mail any day now.

I forget how it works. Do you pay first and mail it out? Then the sticker comes?

While you can go to DMV in person to get the sticker while you wait - It is NOT the end of August. The big numbers say 8/10 but on the sticker itself is a smaller exact date that the registration expires.

me too.
My renewal paper came about a month and a half before it expired. If yours expires sometime in August you should have either received it - or will be receiving it soon.
You can always go online and renewal your registration if you meet the criteria listed on the WEBSITE

It's not guaranteed that you will get the renewal reminder in the mail. I was told it's a "courtesy" and "computer generated" so it might miss you. You can renew within 30 days of your expiration date, so if it's up on 8/10/10 you can renew by 7/10/10.
