My registration sticker in my car is peeling and wont stick back
I was dumb and put the new sticker on too soon after I cleaned the paste off from the previous sticker, it was still wet on the windhsield, and ever since it wont stick right...
I dont want to add more tape and make an even bigger mess on my windhsield - anyone have any suggestions???

I feel your pain. I gave my sticker to DH to put on the car. He decided not to even finish ripping off the edges of the old one before he put the new one over it. Of course, that stopped sticking in 15 minutes and now its half off. Last time I trust him with that....
Last week I went for inspection, and when the put the sticker on they put it on crooked, AND overlapping the peeling off registration sticker. I sit in the car for at least 2 hours a day, staring at this thing. It pizzes me off!!!
I just mentioned the replacement to him (thanks Val!) and he said "no, dont bother I will fix it with double sided tape".
Sure you will.... just as well as you put it on the first time!

Get a replacement, and in the meantime, do tape it to secure it. Use the clear packing tape, or something else strong, to make sure it sticks.
I know in NYC, they give out tickets if your sticker is not stuck on properly. My sticker was messed up after I got my windshield replaced. My car got towed without cause, and the towing caused my sticker to fall off the windshield. They gave me a ticket for improper display of sticker!
I had to fight the ticket in parking ticket court. Good thing they ruled in my favor. But the judge gave me advice that the next time that happens, to order a new sticker from DMV. He was being nice and helpful.

get the replacement and definitely tape it back in the meantime!
a long time ago mine fell off and was laying on the dashboard b/c I was too lazy to fix it. I got a ticket for it!
