Car Seat base moving side to side?
We tried installing the Graco Snugride carseat bases today in both of our cars. We both have the latch system. We each tried to install it in our own cars and had the same results- the seat was able to move from side to side (mostly the front end). We are going to try again and have them checked but does anyone have any idea what we could be doing wrong? Any hints or tips?

We have the Chicco base installed using both the LATCH and one of the other ways to install it. It doesn't budge. We are getting it inspected next week as well.

when dh and i first put in our car we had samething, then when we had it checked by the experts they said the front part will move side to side somewhat, i think they said no more than an inch or so., thats okay, the part that should be tight is the back where its connected.

See if you can get it checked with a local Police or Fire station. They offered some great tips when we installed ours. They will demonstrate it and teach you the best way to install. Good luck!
