Car seat inspection / installation
Quick question:
The places that do car seat inspections - do they install the car seat for you, or do they only want to see you after you've already installed it, to see if you've done it correctly?
I'm due in 13 days and we haven't even taken it out of the box yet!

I would install it and then take it and let them check it. You need to know how to do it in case you need to take it out and re-install it for some reason. So I would let them fix it if you did it wrong.

you dont have to install bc they are going to want to inspect the seat and then talk you through installing it...

DH and I installed our car seats and then went to Hassel Auto Body in West Babylon...the girl who does the "inspection" re-did the whole thing and showed me how to install it :)

That's what I figured would happen with us too, which is why I'm reluctant to waste an hour or two doing it myself!
Did you have to make an appointment far in advance to go there? We wanted to go there this week and do it.

The girl who does the inspection/set-up is not always there, so call before you head over to find out her hours - I didn't make an appt :)

I brought it to the town on Hempstead child safety inspectors, and the girl did it for me, while walking me through what she was doing.
