car seat recall
i didn't see this already posted, so aorry if its a duplicate post, but i thought everyone should know
Graco is recalling 43,994 Comfortsport(TM) convertible car seats, in the Frazier(TM) Fashion, manufactured from November 1, 2006 through October 8, 2007. These seats were equipped with a large sized, supplemental pad or ¿body pillow¿ that partially obscures the child airbag warning label which is on the seat pad. The partial obscuring of this label fails to conform with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 213, ¿Child Restraint Systems¿. Serious injury could occur to the child should the seat be improperly placed in the vehicle. Graco will notify owners and instruct them to discard the supplemental pillows. The pillows are provided for comfort only and do not affect the seat's ability to protect your child in the event of a crash. The recall is expected to begin during December 2008. Owners may contact Graco at 1-800-345-4109 or by e-mail at [email protected].

Re: car seat recall
wait - they are recalling the seats because the airbag warning label is partially obstructed so parents are being told to remove the body pillow? there is no structural problem with the car seat itself?

I think they are just saying you should get rid of the pillow.

Re: car seat recall
Thank you for posting. I own this carseat. My Graco infant carrier was recalled as well.
I just went to my car and looked at the seat and looked at the pillow - sure enough you can't see the airbag warning label. Frankly, the fact that the pillow obstructs the label makes me and , as it annoyed the heck out of me that you could see the stupid label on the infant carrier.
But, I feel it necessary to point out that this pillow is much thicker than the Bundle Me - so for all the warning about not having that behind a child, anyone who is concerned, shouldn't be.
