car seats after car accident?
hey girls, so yesterday me and the girls got into a car acciendent and my car is most likely going to be totaled. What happen was I was driving east and the other car driving west i was going with the flow siging with MAdison and boom we hit a car, the car tried to cut across traffic without waiting to yield for traffic to stop to cross over, she faied to wait at her green light and just thought she would fit in between my car the the one in front of me. we are all ok, were in the hospital for some time but home now, my question is are the car seats ok or do you think i have to get new ones? only the front end is damaged i mean pushed all the way in nothing on the sides. What do you think?

I think the rule is that any time you are in an accident you should buy new car seats....especially if your airbags deployed.
 Glad to hear you are all ok.

I'm glad you are all ok!!! I think if you are in an accident the carseats are compromised and insurance will pay to get new ones.

I'm glad to hear youa re all okay, but how horrible! Unfortunately, you need new carseats. Check with your insurance company because, depending on your policy, they should pay for them.

So glad you are all ok, that is the most important.
You definitely should replace your carseats. Your insurance co will probably cover it too.

they won't tell you but if you ask your ins co and submit receipts, they will reimburse you - thats what happened with dd's carseat when I totaled my car in 2007....(fyi: we bought new britaxs to replace the old ones and they paid for it!)

Crashing but I am a manager in an Auto insurance company and the ladies are correct.. we MUST pay for new carseats!!

But what the OPs have said is true, you most definitely should get new seats, and your insurance will pay for it

I agree with the APs, you should replace your carseats and it may be covered under insurance
