Car Seats, Strollers and Infants?
More stroller confusion!
I want to register for a Britax Marathon car seat b/c it's for infants through toddlers, but then I read that it can't be used with a Snap & Go.
So do I need to buy an infant car seat AND a toddler car seat just so I use the Snap & Go?
Or will some strollers be good for infants too?
To add to my confusion, I'm due in mid-November, so I doubt I will be taking the baby out that much, if at all, in a stroller until February-ish or so. I rarely go to malls, so that's not an issue.
I like the Peg Perego Pliko but can it be used for infants?
Thanks for any advice you have!

Re: Car Seats, Strollers and Infants?
If you want to use the snap & go ,then yes, you would have to buy the infant seat.
Many strollers are good for infants and I believe the pliko is also...as long as the back fully reclines your good. (Since the baby cant hold his/her head up yet)
I wanted the infant seat for use w/the snap & go and so that I can unhook the infant seat from its base and carry it around w/me incase the baby is sleeping and I don't want to disturb him. Also, if I want to take the baby w/us out to breakfast or something, I can just bring the infant seat in w/me. (The Britax does not come in and out of the car like the infant seat does).

Re: Car Seats, Strollers and Infants?
Another thing nice with the infant car seat, especially for winter babies, is the fact that you dont need a snow suit..you just put the baby in a warm outfit, cover them with a blanket, and then use the boot thing (they sell them at BBB & BRU) over the whole car seat..TRUST ME its better than dealing with a bulky snowsuit that the kid never fits into and is a pain to try and get the kid into the car seat while wearing..

Since you are due in the winter, I'd get the infant seat, who wants to unsnap a snuglie baby when they don't have to?

Re: Car Seats, Strollers and Infants?
I would recommend getting the infant car seat for the first few months. It's so easy to get in and out of the car with the baby sleeping in it. Taking a baby out of the car seat can wake them - and you usually don't want to do that! And even if you don't think you'll use the stroller, you never know and it's nice to have the option just in case.
