Caramel question????/

I recently got a delicious food gift and I've decided to try to make it as gifts for the holidays. It has pretzels, m&ms, marshmallows and oreo cookies. These are all held together with chocolate and what I think was caramel. I got the chocolate which I will melt and drizzle over but I have no idea what kind of caramel to use. I bought the one from the store for sundaes but it doesn't get hard si it won't work.

Any ideas

buy the bag of individually wrapped caramels at the store and melt them down...otherwise check the baking section- I'm sure they have something!
