Fresh off her divorce from Dave Navarro, Carmen Electra says she's trading nightlife for home life.

"I'm not so much about going out out so much anymore," Electra, 34, told PEOPLE at Wednesday's Max Factor Salutes Hollywood Fashion charity fashion show. "To me, I get more excited to stay home. But I should probably get out a little bit more!"

Electra tells PEOPLE that since divorcing, she's passed on dating at clubs in favor of hanging with old friends. "I have a great group of friends that I've had for years," she says.

One friend she's been spending quality time with is '80s rocker Joan Jett. "She's an amazing person – I love her," says Electra, 34. "I've actually known her for about a year. She's a really good friend of mine."

Electra shot a music video recently for Jett's song, "A.C.D.C." The two were photographed sitting side by side front row at Anna Sui's New York Fashion Week show on Feb. 7, and hanging out together backstage at a Jett show last November in L.A.

Of her single life, Electra adds, "Everything's been going really good."

The actress and model split from husband of three years Navarro last July, and the divorce was finalized Feb. 28. Electra told PEOPLE in November that the two remain friends: "We're positive, and we've stayed connected."

The couple were married on the 2003 MTV reality show 'Til Death Do Us Part.
