Carnival - Destiny cruise
My MIL is turning 70 next June...yes in 2009 lol. But my brother in law is booking a cruise for the entire family because that is her favorite thing to do. I don't love cruises, only been on 1 and my DH, he has never been on one.
Can anyone give pros and cons on the Carnival Destiny ship. I believe it leaves out of Miami and goes to Grand Caymand and Ochos Rios. It's a 5 day cruise!
Let me know some reviews.
Thanks

I went on that ship for my first cruise and we all really liked it. However, we went to different islands.
It has nice night life out on the deck everynight. Food was great.
Only cons I can think of is the pools are salt water and they closed around 9 or 10.

I went on this ship as well for my first cruise. I liked this ship. All of the Carnival ships i've been on are salt water.
Nice ship though!

Have you looked into Royal Caribbean?
We just went on a 5-day cruise in march on royal (navigator of the seas)that went to grand cayman and jamaica... we loved it!! The ship was phenomenal, the food was amazing and there was SO much to do. Pics in my album.

I love Carnival. It is perfect for all ages and you can't beat the prices.
Def check out cruisecritic like above poster mentioned. They are very helpful.
And I love that itinerary. Some of my favorite islands.
And in reference to the pools, I like salt water better then chlorine. Chlorine is bad for your skin and smells gross

Re: Carnival - Destiny cruise
Even Royal Caribbean will use salt water in their pools...its not completly all salt water but they do use salt water
