Carpenter Bees!
Please help if you know what to do about them. They are swarming my deck...and no one here seems to think there is anything you can do.
Well that's just not good enough for me  I will get to the bottom of this...those bees will not win this!!

My parents have them too. They tried to get them to go away and weren't successful.

I would hire someone to just get rid of the entire nest. I've had a bunch of different bee/wasp nests, and I just got someone in to take care of them.

my parents live in a log cabin  they actually burrowed holes into the logs and live in the wood- my parents are not about to rip their logs apart--- so they've taken every hole they've found and filled them with steel wool--- so far that's done the trick... that and my dad hits them to the floor w/ a broom then steps on them

We had them in our roof 2 years ago. We hired someone to do the extermination. They started "attacking" us. It was so annoying.
They had to come 3 times to get them all out. It was part of the package. They would come until it was fixed.
