Carpet Rec's? Looking for Berber
Went to HD and Lowes just to get an idea....I really would like a natural/beige berber. They both offer installation for $97 and then carpet and padding probably about $2.50-2.60 sq ft. Room is 14x16
Pretty resonable but just wanted to see other rec's and prices.

i got my berber from empire.
it was a small room and was only a couple hundred.....you can neg with them A LOT.....I didnt push much cause they had to make a trip for a small room....the bigger the room(s) the more they move on the price.

I had a slaesperson come to my home from Empire and she left within minutes because she said she could not budge on the price. I was dumbfounded by the lack of sales pitch.
We went with Carpet Depot. Their price was better but the installation come out just ok.

ESP carpet in Westbury. I found a carpet I like elsewhere and the price was way higher than what we wanted to spend....I called around. They were over $600 cheaper than any other place we called!

House of Carpets in Valley Stream. We put berber in our 2 upstairs rooms, stairs and entire basement and basement stairs. They have great prices - much better than HD, they did a great install
He always has berber on rolls so he gives you a better price. Padding is included! Def worth checking out!!!

Same experience here, same place.
And if you offer cash they may not make you pay tax.
