Carry On Question
I am going to Vegas next Thursday and I am only planning on taking carry on luggage. I went on the TSA website and it says you can't bring anything larger than 3oz and only what will fit in a 1 quart bag.
Is this still being strictly enforced? I travelled in February to Florida and it wasn't so bad- but I travelled with an infant, so they may have been a little lax with me. Just wanted to know what people's experience was.
Thanks!!

Re: Carry On Question
when I travelled in June, nothing was checked on liquid carry-on's. They didn't even ask for you to take it out of the carry-on luggage. I did complain though to the TSA & JFK airport bc I didn't feel the screeners were doing their job.
With that said & all the recent terror stuff overseas, I would think they would be enforcing it.

Re: Carry On Question
I suppose it depends on the checker. My friend's half empty 3.2oz deodarant was taken out of her bag in April.

Re: Carry On Question
I flew to Colorado in May the liquid rules were definitely strictly enforced.

It definitely depends. I was flying last month and the person behind me had all of their liquid toiletries in their carry on and the person let her take them on (after he ran them through individually without a plastic bag).

Re: Carry On Question
I flew from Florida in jan to JFk, they would not allow the liquior we purchased at the airport, they made us ship it home!!!
Behind us was a man that had a half empty tube of toothpaste, they gave him a hard time. He told them they let him fly to his destination with it full, now on the return trip half empty is no good..... crazy, but it is for our safety

Re: Carry On Question
I've flown quite a few times this spring and the rules have been strictly enforced every time.
